This 19th century villa, painted Portuguese blue, framed with vines and hibiscus, sits majestically in a prominent position on a large private gated estate in this unspoilt area of the eastern Algarve and yet only 25 minutes from Faro airport! The house has been carefully restored - retaining many of its original features, while offering guests good wifi, smart T.V'S and all the "creature comforts". The huge farmhouse kitchen has everything you could need and makes cooking a joy. The large wooden dining table seats 12 people comfortably. A contemporary plexiglass screen through the door, looking across the gardens, floods the room with light (while keeping out pesky flies). The dining room, with its huge antique table, has comfortable seating for all and will be ready for your arrival.

The living room, with its comfortable furniture, is just across the archway. The paintings and tapestries have been carefully chosen and complement each other. There is a wood-burning stove for chilly evenings in the off-season. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs (one en suite and an additional shower room) with a further two bedrooms (both en suite) upstairs. The sixth bedroom, with its cozy sofa and en-suite bathroom, is located on the mezzanine. Crisp Egyptian cotton bedding, soft towels and nice casual furnishings add to the charm. There is fixed air conditioning in three of the bedrooms and portable air conditioning units in the others, plus mosquito nets on all bedroom windows. But, the star of the show has to be the gardens........and the pool..........and the views..........and the seclusion. The outdoor areas are carefully tended by Manuel, with large expanses of lawns, olive, avocado and carob trees, vines, citrus and vegetables. Help yourself to a lemon for your gin and tonic. The private pool, with pool furniture, is 16m long - 1mtr deep at the shallow end and 2.35 at the deep end. It can be heated out of season. Our three miniature goats love to befriend our guests. We are now offering our guests the option of enjoying Quantam Shiatsu, Meridian Yoga, Meditation or Tai Chi during their stay with us - our fabulous Yoga Shala looks across the olive groves to the coast. We also have a local chef - Momme - who creates fabulous food and is happy to cook for our guests during their stay with us......

There are 2 barbecues (one charcoal and one gas), a pizza oven and a covered dining area with a large wooden table by the pool, plus another shaded patio just off the kitchen.
